Liver failure could happen when a large part of liver is damaged and isn’t able to function any longer. This condition could be either chronic or acute. Chronic failure is caused by metabolic disorders, malnutrition, cirrhosis, alcoholism, Hepatitis B/C and acute failure occurs due to food poisoning, drug toxicity, Hepatitis A, B and C.
However, these symptoms are seen much later. The earlier symptoms of liver failure include diarrhea, fatigue, loss in appetite and nausea. The symptoms seen later include coma, sleepiness, mental disorientation, swelling of abdomen, bleeding and/or jaundice. The removal and prevention of the cause of failure is very crucial.
Ayurveda and ayurvedic treatment is known as the best prevention method for any disease. Even liver damage can be treated by ayurvedic treatment by knowing the cause of the problem and then correcting it.
