Common Men’s Health Issues

Nowadays, the times have become so competitive that taking care of health has taken a backseat and it is only ‘dealt’ with once it has become very severe. Studies have stated that B.P. and heart related diseases are the most common among men and if they are neglected or not properly treated, then it can cause serious problems. But, as compared to women, men are not as free talking regarding their health problems. mens health logo

There are very less men who wish to consult a doctor when they experience any discomfort or have any issue. Following are some of the common men’s health issues:

* Skin issues are very common amongst humans, but as compared to women, men are not that much conscious about their skin. Because of this, they do not use any skin products or lotions to protect their skin. Even during adolescence, the girls are more likely to discuss their problem and get a solution.

Boys however, feel embarrassed to discuss the issue and/or many times don’t care about it. These problems can develop into severe diseases if not treated or checked. Therefore, for men’s health, skin care is essential but one should consult a dermatologist before using the products.

* Fitness and getting into shape is on a rise as many men have become conscious regarding their body and physical appearance. However, not paying proper attention can result in men’s health issues like tennis elbow, muscle pull, sprains, strain etc. Therefore, one should always consult a fitness guide before starting an exercise regimen.

* Another major concern for men’s health these days is obesity. One harmful effect of being obese is decrease in the good cholesterol levels. This increases the risk of stroke. Obesity also increases the LDL levels which causes blockage of arteries.

One type of men’s health issue which is usually not discussed is sexual problems. These problems are linked with their ego (hence not discussed) but reduction in the quality of sexual performance can be a signal to any other disease. Therefore, the problem should be discussed with a doctor (preferably one who is trusted by the patient).
