Graves Disease – Symptoms and Natural Remedies

Graves disease (also spelled as Graves’ and Grave’s) is one of the most universal reasons of hyperthyroidism. This disorder is autoimmune infection which causes hyperactivity of thyroid gland. In this case, the gland starts producing abnormal amount of thyroid hormones.

This illness can occur at any age and gender but is mostly seen in women who are over 20 years of age. The following lines show some of common symptoms accompanied by graves disease (although the symptoms are not limited to these): difficulty in concentration, double vision, irregular heartbeat, sweating, frequent movement of bowel, breath shortness, weakness in muscles, insomnia, anxiety and fatigue.

There are several medications and treatments which can be taken to alleviate the pain of graves disease. However, these contain the risk of side effects in them. But, the increasing focus on herbal medicine and natural remedies has taken the risk of side effects away.

With a mixture of stress relieving methods and traditional medication, the patient can cure the disease naturally. There are also groups/association/packages which offer advises on dietary regulations and stress relieving methods which can suit the budget and lifestyle of any patient. There is no single cure for the problem but the treatment can begin with relaxing, eating healthy and keeping the body fit.

The stress reduction therapy, included in natural cure ‘package’, can be done through low impact methods like self hypnosis, yoga and meditation. Some medium impact methods include aerobics and/or stretching. The low impact methods help an individual to concentrate on breath and allow the body and mind to deal with the pain in a better way.

In comparison, the medium impact methods help the patient to rid his/her body of harmful toxicants and lose some weight in the process. These exercises would strengthen the immune system whose deficiency has resulted in the graves disease. These exercises can be accompanied with avoiding harmful foods like potato, peanuts, broccoli, peaches and caffeine which can increase the problem.
