Mosquito bite initial response
Make sure that itching will persist until the bite gets healed completely. The itching occurs due to the mosquito’s saliva, which is an anticoagulant. Rub soap directly on the mosquito bite, and this is one of the most frequently followed home remedies.

Dip a piece of cloth in warm water and press that cloth on the bite, and hold it until a tingling sensation is felt. Repeat once or twice and the itching will surely vanish in no time, as the heat releases all the histamine from the skin surrounding the bite, which is responsible for initiating the immune responses like itching and irritation.

Apply mud on the bite area; this provides a cooling effect, and temporarily relieves the itching.

Apply lavender oil directly to the bite area to get relief from itching quickly.
Mosquito bite warnings
- Make sure that you don’t rub your skin, pat dry instead of rubbing and avoid scrubbing too.
- Try patting in case feel like scratching, as patting stimulates the same nerves without any damage to the skin.
- Do not pick the heads off the bites, as there are chances that it may get infected.
- Never try mixing ammonia with bleach, as it causes a chemical reaction producing fatal gas.
- If itching is not stopping and the sores are also not healing, then consult a doctor immediately.
