How to prevent Constant Diarrhea

Seeing a doctor is a must when a person is found to be suffering from constant diarrhea. Chronic diarrhea or constant diarrhea is a constant diarrheavery unwanted condition wherein the person is not able to live a normal life. The stool continues to remain watery and frequent for a prolonged period of time due to several reason; one being a constant intake of bad food. To prevent chronic diarrhea, one must beware of his dietary and hygiene habits. Let’s have a look at some preventive measures:

The foremost preventive measure would be to drink plenty of fluids. Diarrhea makes the body lose water. Hence, the person must drink plenty of fluids which also help him give relief from his condition. Juices that are good for digestion and the bowels should be had. Keep the body hydrated as much as possible. Have at least 8-12 glasses of water a day.

Eat food that’s light for digestive organs. Bananas are a good diet for persons suffering from chronic diarrhea. Try to have food which is non-fatty, has least oil and grease in it. In order to avoid constant movement of the bowels reduce on the intake of citrus food like lemon and tomatoes.

Keeping your hands washed before and after meals is one preventive measure. Avoid leaving cooked food out in the open for too long and eating the same. Maintain a good hygiene in the kitchen as far as cooking is concerned. Always refrigerate your food that has been cooked. In case of long outings drink only bottled water.

The infection that’s caused diarrhea must be cured through antibiotics that the doctor would prescribe. A bowel disorder may be diagnosed; hence doctor’s help must be taken if the condition persists for many days. It is also advised that you keep away from stress. It is one of the reasons that diarrhea occurs more frequently.
