What is thyroid fewer?
Typhoid fever is caused by Salmonella typhi bacteria, and the transmission of this bacterium in human body it ceases to bring fever. This normally is found in contaminated food and water.
The incubation period of typhoid fever is usually one to two weeks, and the duration of the illness is about four to six weeks. The symptoms of this disease include:
- Poor appetite
- Headaches
- Generalized aches and pains
- Fever
- Lethargy and
- diarrhea
People suffering with typhoid fever usually have a sustained fever which can go as high as 103 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit (39 to 40 degrees Celsius).
How does typhoid fever affect?
This bacterium enters the small intestine and lever through the white blood cells. At the incubation period there are no symptoms. The bacterium then multiplies. It invades the gallbladder, biliary system, and the lymphatic tissue of the bowel. Here, they multiply in high numbers.
The way to diagnose them is through stool test and blood test. Many times, Chest congestion develops in many patients who are diagnosed with typhoid bacteria, and abdominal pain and discomfort are common. Improvement occurs in the third and fourth week in cases without complications. About 10% of patients have recurrent symptoms (relapse) after feeling better for one to two weeks. Relapses are actually more common in individuals treated with antibiotics.
Treatment and preventions for typhoid fever include:
- Fluids and electrolytes
- Carrot soup is highly beneficial for gastro-intestinal disorders, and typhoid being one of these kind, it calms and soothes inflamed and irritated bowels. Drink 1 bowl of carrot soup everyday just before meal.
- To combat fatigue, consume 10 raisins daily. Soak them overnight in a little water and eat them, the next day.
- Avoid stimulating food stuffs – spicy food, tea, coffee, soft drinks, and alcohol to prevent typhoid.
- To treat typhoid fever, consume rice gruel as it is soft, easily digested and rich in nutrients.
- Keep yourself well hydrated to prevent the problem.
- Avoid consuming raw foods.
- Stay away from outside food.
- Wash hands and feet frequently and thoroughly, with a soap, particularly, after you return from out.
- Take adequate rest and sleep. Rest as much as possible. Your body needs to recover.
