How to Prevent Leg Cramps

Legs cramp pain can be prevented. Runners and athletes who walk at a fast pace throughout the world have experienced leg cramp pain at one point of time or the other.  Haven’t you found your legs giving away and a cramp in your leg when you are fielding at cricket or trying to give that solid kick while playing football?

Cramps can be caused by a variety of factors ranging from too much exercise , dehydration and bad eating habits. Cramps can also be related to other things like , incorrect breathing patterns or some other disease. As a runner, it is important to warm up before going for advanced exercises. Be sure to do some basic stretching exercises before every run.

A diet can also help prevent running cramps. Drink adequate amounts of water. This is especially important if you go for an early morning jog or run as the body becomes dehydrated during the night and fluids must be replenished in the body If are out for a long time, carry some water with you and continue drinking during your walk or journey. Drink even if you do not feel thirsty Avoid eating junk food before exercise or a run, rather consume bananas, which are a good source of potassium.

While running is essential to breathe deeply enough to  allow enough oxygen into your system. Take full breaths, which means you need to inhale and exhale fully each time.Cramps tend to disappear on their own, but if not, change your routine a little. Slow down your pace if you run too fast or stop and massage the muscle that are cramping. Try to get the cramps out of his body by stretching out.  Keep your feet on the floor and pull your toes up and try to reach them with your hands. This will help stretch the calf muscles and relieve pain.
