What is Malaria?
Malaria is an illness caused by a parasite. This parasite usually tends to get transferred in human bodies through an insect named anopheles mosquito. This is a female mosquito; they must have been infected by a previous blood meal taken from an infected person. This bacterium keeps transferring as mosquitoes keep biting and spreading the disease.
This disease usually occurs in warmer regions of the world like tropical and sub- tropical countries as female antelopes can survive and exist in such climate.

Symptoms Of Malaria:
- High fever
- Sweats
- Chills
- Headache
- Malaise
- Muscles aches
- Nausea
- Vomiting
The best way to diagnose is to get a blood test done to check if there is a presence of parasite under the microscope.
Ways to prevent malaria:
- Not letting mosquitoes bite especially at night by using mosquito net etc
- Intake of anti-malarial drugs.
- Lots of orange juice and water
- Not letting mosquitoes breed in and around house. So keep the surroundings clean by using pesticides at home.
- wearing insect repellent and long-sleeved clothing if out of doors at night
This parasite usually bites and the bacterium gets injected into body and travels in the body and multiplies itself. This is known as “incubation period”, wherein there are no symptoms. Later the parasites enter the red blood cells. Then the infected red blood cells rupture, giving parasites the liberty to attack and enter other red blood cells.
Toxins are released when the red cells burst and this causes fever, chills and flu-like malaria symptoms. Treating malaria is easier when it is diagnosed early. The early stage can be cured fast and is much less invasive and has milder reactions. If malaria is diagnosed at later stage then hospitalization becomes a must.
When traveling to other countries one must take proper vaccination and should examine themselves very well and be precautious, so that they do not get infected by their carelessness.
