The vessels which become swollen and damaged are termed hemorrhoids. If the rectal wall weakens if too much pressure and stress is applied on it, then there are chances that hemorrhoids can occur. Internal hemorrhoid affects the internal rectal or anus region and external hemorrhoid can affect the outside of the anus region.
If the internal hemorrhoid problem is left untreated, then it starts pushing out of the anus and can result in more problems. There are several home remedies for hemorrhoids which can be tried to treat hemorrhoids. These include:
- White oak, myrrh, goldenseal root and bayberry can be used as home remedies for hemorrhoids. If there is any pain in the anus area, then Aloe Vera gel should be directly applied there. It soothes the burning sensations and also relieves some pain.
- A strong warm tea can be brewed using yarrow (lady’s mantle) and applied on the hemorrhoids several times in a day. The application should be done by a cotton ball. The swollen veins can be shrunk by applying witch hazel with cotton pad three times in a day.
- Some baking soda can be applied to help the itching caused due to the problem. Another home remedies for hemorrhoids includes consuming stone root, red grape vine leaves, parsley, collinsonia root or thorn barks. These can be consumed in form of tea or capsules.
- Another application home remedies for hemorrhoids includes mixing honey and sliced honey, putting them on the cotton wool and then applying them on the hemorrhoids for three hours. Another alternative is to chop some garlic and onions, put them on a pad of cotton wool and then waiting for three hours. After that, the pad should be applied on the ailing area.
- Few grams of passion fruit should be blanched in less than half cup of water. This mixture should be applied on the hemorrhoids with the use of a cloth. Early morning measures include drinking single spoon of olive oil. The patient can also apply lemons on the affected area.
